CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS

A photojournalist with KRDO, Channel 13 arrived early yesterday to cover opening remarks from various state and local officials. The visit ended with a 20 minute interview with Hans Kallam, DEM Director. Because of the TV coverage, more stations may respond to document the conference.

The Eastern Colorado Incident Management Team (ECIMT) has begun their third year supporting the EM conference. This year’s team is headquartered in the Board Room around the corner from check-in. Stop by and see a state Type-3 Command and General staff in action.

The Colorado Department of Agriculture (DOA) recently signed a MOU with the ECIMT. Because of this first of a kind agreement, $34,000 in equipment support has been given to the team. Thanks to Bill Bennett of DOA for his coordinating efforts to make this MOU happen. Conference attendees are reminded that CDs of each presentation are available at check-in. Please stop by and pick-up your copy. These will also be posted online at http://coemcon.blogspot.com
